Where did Gregory propose to Samantha?

Gregory proposed to Samantha at the J.N. "Ding" Darling Wildlife Refuge, in Sanibel Island, Florida.

At the refuge, Gregory took Samantha to the Red Mangrove Overlook.

Walking her to the end of the overlook, Greg knelt down on one knee and popped the question. Sam said "yes."

Did Gregory give Samantha an Engagement Ring?

Yes! It features a brown orangey yellow diamond, complemented by champaigne-colored garnets, in a pavé diamond and white gold setting.

Who is the Maid of Honour?

Ms. Jennifer Gauck

Jennifer GauckJennifer Gauck grew up one mile from the Buckingham Friends Meeting House, although she is proud to say that she is technically a Springsteen- and Sinatra-loving, Bon Jovi-karaoking New Jersey native. Jen can name the title of most ‘80s pop songs within hearing the first five notes, slow cook some mean spare ribs (Wayne, we should talk), and simultaneously execute multiple data sets in Excel. In her professional career, she has managed public integrity programs in Eastern Europe. Jen and her gypsy lover, Tom, will be spreading the East Coast gospel to an international audience this September when they move to Brussels, where Jen will start a PhD program. However, nothing could keep Jen away from the joys of bustling Sam’s dress, and she will be happily cashing in her United flight miles for the chance to come back and feed Sam Belgian chocolate prior to her wedding day.

Who is the Best Man?

Actually, there will be two best men making sure Greg's feet are warm and in the church on time: Wayne Miller and Chris Fanjul. Here's a bit about them.

Mr. Wayne Edward Miller

Wayne Miller hails from Central Pennsylvania, reads ancient Greek, and plays a seriously mean blues guitar. He makes the best barbeque spare ribs north of Alabama. Among his heroes he lists George Costanza, Mario Batali, and Diogenes the Cynic. He drives a hunter green Mini Cooper with white racing stripes, and his wife, Electra, is a red-headed Aries. As if that wasn't enough for his cholesterol-addled nerves, Wayne works as a high school teacher in Washington, D.C. Half of North America's gas station attendants and boutique managers think Wayne looks like Greg. The other half thinks Greg looks like Wayne. Contrary to popular belief, Wayne and Greg are not related. They are only brothers-in-arms.

Mr. Christopher Gustavo Fanjul

Chris Fanjul comes to us from New Jersey, graduated from elementary school at our very same Buckingham Friends Meeting House, and knows much more about wine than you do. He has a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, but has worked as an apprentice to a carpenter, a mate on a ship, an instructor in the Bahamas, a magazine photo editor, a driver of a movable museum, and as a professional photographer. In addition, Chris is interested in nomadic cultures, goat cheeses, and organic vineyards. Chris gets girls. Known internationally by the moniker "Stobinar Bininski", Chris currently lives in a wood stove heated cottage on the North Fork of Long Island, NY. He works at the Paumonok Winery, and is such a great friend you can call him things like "Stobinar Bininski" with impunity.

What is the proper attire for this wedding?

This is a wedding in the country but it is not a "country wedding"—only semi-formal attire is appropriate for the event. Men should wear suits and women should wear cocktail dresses (black tie is not required).
